3d printing with photo-catalytic concrete
BUSSTOBJECT is a hybrid object, a part of city mobiliar, a vertical wall smoothly twisting into a cantilevered roof of a bus stop. It explores new possibilities in manufacturing technologies - 3d printing with concrete.
Thanks to the use of photo-catalytic concrete, Busstobject becomes a part of “The City Lungs”. It is helping to clean polluted air in places where people are exposed to high concentrations of nitrogen oxides as a result of dense traffic and other air-polluting factors.
"To maximize the effect of the photo-catalysis, for the vertical wall of the Busstobject we have used geometry commonly found in nature – Gyroid."
