Saint-Jean is a plant-based bakery and specialty coffee shop in Amsterdam, designed by IJarchitecture. Set in the Jordaan, the interior was conceived as a calm and carefully composed space in which light, material and atmosphere come together.

Guided by the bakery’s focus on quality, craft and creativity, the design combines preserved original features with bespoke oak furniture, white concrete elements and soft clay-plastered walls.

The interior forms a quiet backdrop for the pastries, allowing their colour, texture and refinement to stand out, while creating a warm and welcoming place connected to the rhythm of the street and the character of the neighbourhood.
